MIA-TRANSITIONING

Hey ladies, I want to apologize for being MIA.  I've been really bad and only worked out for 4 days last week.  In good news I'm down 8lbs with 23 more to go.  Its just been so crazy.  I'm transitioning into another job and the changes mentally is preventing me to stay focused with my eating and working out.  This week I have 3 lunch dates with my co workers because everyone doesn't get along or has a preference of where they would like to go.  Why are women so katty???   Cant we all just get along??? LOL!!!!.  Anyhow,  I've missed 6 days of working out and I'm feeling so guilty.  I cant seem to get up at 5am and I have no motivation.  I totally screwed this 30 day Bootcamp up.  However, I'm going to finish it because I'm not a quitter.  I know its not 30 days consistent but I'm going to finish the 3rd sequence within the next 10 days.  Thank you guys for all your encouraging words on TAM's facebook page.  I really appreciate you guys.  Thanks for reading and following me.  It really means alot.  I'm going to continue my journey with TAM.  However, I'm going to start the 30 day bootcamp over April 1st after I finish training for my 5k.  During that time I'm going to follow Tosca's Cooler Plan 1 in the "Eating Clean Book".  I'll continue to keep you guys updated on my journey to losing weight.  Also I'm going to be revamping this blog with other topics besides working out.  So stay tuned!!!!!!!!

Sequence 2-Trying to finish what I started!!!!!

So I'm finally working on sequence 2 for the muscle work Days 11-20.  OMG!!!!!  Has Tracy lost her mind.  I must say its really kicking my butt.  However I'm still hanging in there.  I'm unable to get the full muscle work in so I've been alternating the days.  I'm not sure what results I'm going to get but I'm going to keep at it.
Earlier in the week I went to Sports Authority to pick up some new sneakers.  My shins have been killing me.   I bought Air max 2010"s.  They were a whopping $160 but so HOT!!!!!!  I was so undecided about what sneakers to get.  I was in the store for over 2 hrs.  I think I tried on over 10 pairs of sneakers that evening.  The sales guy was nice but I'm not sure he was that knowledgeable.  While I was in the store I text my friend who is into fitness and running and she suggested I go to this store called Big Peach Running Co.  This company test how you run and can determine what sneaker is best for your feet.  I was having a fight in my head and was trying to justify spending $160.  I'm the type of person that wants what I want now.  Also a person on TAM's page also suggested I wait for the Air max 2011's to come out.  I just couldn't wait so I ended up buying them.  EEEeekkkkk!!!!!!!  Of course the next day I started to feel shoppers regret.  I just could not justify spending almost $200 on sneakers.  That's someone's car note, or grocery bill, or car insurance.  So I decided to try the Big Peach Running Co and I was very impressed.  They put me on a treadmill with a big screen TV and recorded the way I ran.  She showed me a couple of videos first to show me what neutral, over pronate, under pronate runners looked like.  I was so amazed.  I had no idea people land on their feet differently.  So guess what guys?   I'm over pronate and basically that's why my shins have been hurting.  Over pronate runners are prone to more injuries especially wearing the wrong shoe.  So I ordered a pair of Brooks GTS 11's in red and I'm reluctantly returning the Airmax 2010's.  So sad too bad right?????  I really like the way the Airmax look but if the GTS's are going to make my legs and feet feel better than that's what I have to do.   Here is a example of what my feet look like when I run.  (No this is not me)

Oh and guess what?  I signed up for a 5k on March 26.  So after I'm finished with TAM I will be training for that.  I'm so excited!  My friend is going to train me on the weekends and I'm going to train by myself during the week.  I figured this will force me to continue with my workouts after I finish with TAM.  I came to realization that it might really take me a full year to get really fit. Whamp! Whamp! Whamp!!!!!

Oh and how can I forget about what everyone has been ravening about.  Metamorphosis!!!!!  I'm excited about the system but not about how the price increased.  I have to see how well I do with the rest of the BC with TAM and maybe revisit the other DVD's I have of hers to see if its something that I can stick with.   Who has purchased the new DVDs and are they worth it?

Getting back on track and Treadmill dancing!!

Hey ladies. I know I've been MIA but I've also been playing hooky from TAM.  The days off from work really messed with me.  I just kept putting my workout off.  I don't know what came over me.  I think I lost my mind.  I went to Cheesecake Factory last Saturday with the hubby had pasta and chicken ,raspberry lemonade and ate the entire damn bread basket.  I was so out of control.  However, I still managed to keep my 6lb weight loss.  I think being at the hair salon is what triggered it for me.  I was there for 6hrs.  Jeez.......  I started out really good.  I had oatmeal, herbal tea for breakfast.  Then for a snack I brought an apple from home and it was terrible.  It was stale and I was sooooo angry.   I had to sit there for 3hrs hungry and gassy until I was finished with my hair.  After I was done I ran out of there like a bat out of hell.  So for the next couple of days I've been waking up at 5:30 because I still cant seem to get up at 5.   I do 20 minutes in cardio and continue during lunch time on the treadmill (dancing) and muscle work.  I've been alternating the muscle work.  I do legs one day and arms and abs the next. My goal is to try to do everything on the weekends.

I'm excited to report that I convinced my co worker to do the treadmill dance.  I choreographed a dance to "Whats my name" by Rhianna using moves from TAM webisode video. Of course we had crazy stares and one lady said she was so scared for us when we decided to dance backwards on the treadmill.  (Can you say HATER!!!!!)  Even the trainer was side eyeing us while he was training the lady.  I bet he'll try to implement some of those moves for his training and I'm sure we'll have other recruits soon. 
Treadmill dancing is really fun, exciting and something different then the boring walking or running.  Does anyone know of any Treadmill dancing DVD's besides TAM?  I'm really interested to see whats out there.   I found this lady doing some funky moves on youtube to "Barbie girl" She is really getting down to this song on the treadmill.  I think I might have to steal some moves from her.  LOL!!!!!  Let me know what you guys think.

Day 7-9 Snowed In And Too Many Excuses!

Wow, I have 8 followers now.  Wooohoot! Thank you guys for continuing to support me.  When I saw that I had two new followers it motivated me to workout because I was making every excuse in the world not to workout but I knew that I needed to have somthing to report.  My biggest excuse was that I've been trapped in my house since Sunday.  We have a big snow storm here in Georgia.  The city is shut down!!!!!  State Of Emergency!!!!   I know, I know that's not really an excuse because the snow has nothing to do with me not working out.  LOL!!!!  I guess I got that lazy bug but still trying to push through. 

I'm still trying to eat clean.  I did have kamut (ancient wheat grain, high in protein) pancakes and a couple of sips of some fruit punch.  I went on the scale this morning and it's up a l lbs or few oz.  I haven't had a bowel movement so maybe that's why. (sorry T.M.I.)  Okay.... okay I'm lying now that I think about it I had a few of the hubby's fries.  Just a handful.  I kept picking at them while I was making dinner.  He was trying to shovel the snow from our driveway and I snuck a few.  Eeeeeekkk, I guess I did some damage. 

I've been able to continue with my 40 minutes of cardio but still not able to jump the entire DVD.  However, I do feel stronger and not out of breath as much.  My shins are starting to hurt a little as I jump but nothing to complain about.  I also find it very odd that I haven't had any problems with my knees.  
I was able to get through the arms. I felt the burning in my arms after I stopped and it kind of felt good.  Very strange...........
I took a look at Day 11-20 muscle work and it really does look intimidating.  I don't have any chairs in my home that I feel comfortable stepping on.  So I'm not sure what I should do about those moves.  I guess I'll cross that bridge once I get there.  Any suggestions?  Please leave your comments.

Day 6 & 7 Pushing through and feeling much better!

Hey guys,  I want to thank you for your encouraging words.  Im pushing through this thing.  However, I did decide to start the eating clean diet which is eating 6 small meals a day with protein and complex carbs at every meal. I've been reading Tosca's book Eat-Clean-Diet Recharged.  It totally makes since to me and something that I can stick with long term.  I'm happy to report that I'm still losing I'm down another pound so I'm sure I'll see good results with this change. 

I missed my work out on Saturday.  I was just so tired but I continued to eat clean.  So on Sunday I worked out.  I was able to do 40 minutes cardio and 30 reps for legs and abs.   I hate that the muscle work is taking so long to complete.  I'm starting to get a little annoyed by that and I'm also starting to get bored with the cardio workout.  I don't know why because I still cant jump through the entire DVD.  I have to stop  every few minutes to catch my breath. I think I may need to add new music to my play list to get excited about it again.   Is anyone else feeling this way?

I'm glad I'm almost finished with the 1st 10 days.  It has been a rough journey but I'm still hanging in there.

Day 4 & 5- Frustrated and Feel Like Giving Up!

EEEEEkkkkk, so not feeling this diet!  I'm soooooo hungry and light headed.  I had some fresh fruit juice from whole foods this morning and I tell you it really messed up my stomach.  I had the runs all day.  I felt sick all day and kept running to the bathroom.  My co worker suggested that I didn't workout but I refused.  I was going to work out no matter what it took. Even if that meant I sh***ed on my self.  At least if I did I had a shower not to far.  I'm glad there is a God cause he gave me grace and let me finish without having to haul ass to the toilet.  As I'm writing I'm still feeling queasy.

Anyhow,  Im still not able to wake up at 5am to do my cardio.  However, I'm still able to do my muscle work during lunch but not able to get my arms in.  It seems that an hour lunch is just not enough time to fit it all in.  Today is Day 5 and I took a break from cardio tonight.  I figured I'll just make some of it up tomorrow.   I'll do 60 minutes instead of 40.

I really don't know about this diet guys.  I can't concentrate and I feel hungry and a burning sensation in my stomach.   I just don't like that feeling.  How am I suppose to workout feeling like that?   Kudos to Laura for doing this to the "T".  I just don't see how right now. I'm thinking about the eating clean diet. I've heard really great things about it.  Check it out http://www.cleaneatingmag.com/Home.aspx .  Shout out to Emily Dunkin who has been eating like this and has had great results.  She rocks!  You can catch her on TAM's page.  She always give great tips and encouragement.
However, apart of me is like "Damn girl can you stick to anything? This is the reason your don't lose weight. Its only 30 days."  I always start something but seem to never finish.  Ughhhhh so disappointing.  I read somewhere that in order to get results you haven't seen before you have to do something different."  Something like that. You guys get what I'm trying to say.  LOL!!!  I'm going to try to stick this out a few more days and if I don't feel better.  I'm going clean!  Anyone else feeling like this?

Day 1-3 on TAM 30 DAY METHOD!

So far I've lost 5lbs in 4 days!  I'm sure its just water weight but I don't care as long as the scale is moving.  All this work and exhaustion I better see some results!!

My journey through Day 1-3

My workout time is suppose to be at  5 am.(side note: Im not a morning person at all!!!)  The first day I rocked it out but for the last two days I just cant seem to get myself up at this time.  I keep pressing the snooze button on my phone.  Its so annoying because I set it to a 10 min snooze and by the time it goes off again it feels like I just closed my eyes.  So my morning workouts are just not happening. It's a little disappointing because that means I have to workout during lunch (I do muscle work only because I refuse to do the dance cardio and make a fool of myself in front of my co workers) and then dance cardio after a one hour commute .  By the time I get home I'm exhausted and don't want to even think of working out.  However, the last few days I've been pushing myself to get it in. Last night  (Day 3) was really hard for me. I had to do both muscle work and cardio after a two hour long commute because of the traffic. Ughhhhh!!! Lets just say the workout was a "At least you did something" workout.  I did my muscle work and was only able to do 20 minitues of cardio. :(  It was getting late and I needed to try to attempt to get up again in the morning to rock out cardio.  YEAH RIGHT!!!! Never happened.  I'll be able to fit the muscle work during lunch but will have to do cardio tonight. :(


Muscle work and Cardio progress:

I'm still only able to do 20 reps of the leg work. I've had to rest in between reps.  I try to get in 2 sets of 10 reps of each workout. I know its supposed to be 40 but my butt and hips where in so much pain.  I have to wiggle the butt pain out after each set.  I've gotten a few stares like I was crazy when I do this but it hurts like hell.   However, I've been able to increase the reps for my arms and abs.
My dance cardio needs some work.  I know she said to step touch if your a moderate beginner but somehow I feel like I'm not getting a workout.  Plus its hard to step touch some of those moves without jumping.  I've done TAM's mat DVD and dance cardio back in 09 and hurt my left knee. So after reading her book I realized I must have been doing too much too soon especially with all this weight.  I've decided to jump periodically and then once I feel like my heart is about to bust out my chest I step touch.

I have to be honest with you guys. I'm not following the menu to the T.  I don't like wasting food so I've been repeating some of the menu's for the next day.  I'm making sure to stick with the meat and veggies within the menu and avoiding, salt, sugar and starches.  I've been feeling light headed and hungry in the mornings.  So I've been adding fresh 16oz juice in the morning from whole foods.  I know that is not part of her menu but I try my best to make sure to stick to the fruit she listed on her menu and that's the only fruit I'll have for the day.    I hope this doesn't affect my results. I'm still eating clean right?????
